I think my situation is one the most all around works which distract each other. hahaha. My main job is a service engineer which usually driving time is longer than working time in the customer places. Then my secondary jobs is IT stuff and event marketing. Since last year I did several Job fairs in many places. And now I’m moving to web development business as well… and including all the past jobs still active. I wish to have more than 24 hours in one day to finish all my works. T.T

Internet Work
I’m interesting in IT stuff since I was young (even from primary school). Learn the internet since 1998 when we use 56k modem and text-based web site. I started again with my new PC during 2nd year in the university in 1999. With my friends’ help, I learned ICQ (that must be very old!) and started my internet identity as sexdrum. Wow this name is about 10 years already! Most of the time is experiment the new applications, surf the web sites, do some web design, and web board moderator.
Jump to 2006. After few years of working life. I have a chance to improve my skill again with new PC, and at that time my friend just introduce me the virtualization technology and I also started learning Linux. Honestly, until now I still didn’t familiar with all command line stuff, just able to survive with additional GUI tools and all guideline in the internet. I was learning VMware and Ubuntu Linux to implement the Webserver and Network infrastructure for SMEs. Now I’m running several websites on my Ubuntu virtual servers on VMware ESXi.
I always manage domain registrations and custom dns at DynamicDNS http://www.dyndns.com to run private server at home/office, implement mail server with google app. This solution is fit to SMEs which not so high traffic and no need for web hosting service. The main advantages are we can control our own server environments, more sub-domain flexibility, gmail is much better than web-hosting mail service. With virtualization technology plus opensource applications, we can implement these IT Infrastructure solution for SMEs with minimized investment.
Joomla! Work
In 2006, During I’m learning the webserver implementation, I’ve learned that there are many good ready-made web applications for each functions, for example CMS – Content Management System. When I was young, I known only php-nuke. But now there are many many new CMS available, such as Joomla!, Drupal, WordPress, etc. I research & experiment for a while until I decided to focus mainly on Joomla!
I started to play Joomla! 1.0.x with my 1st website http://www.ibualoy.net. Testing many extensions, until able to modified and made my own extensions to fulfill my requirements. But anyway, I’m not a programmer, and I’m more busy on Server & Network Infrastructure & Virtualization than digging deeper in coding. I can understand easy structure of PHP code, but cannot do Javascript. Cannot write my own code from the beginning. But for sure, I can do a Joomla! admin jobs… most of them are GUI tasks.
MEEDEE.NET – Integrated Lifestyle
Beginning of year 2009, I launched MEEDEE.NET is my 1st production website from Meedee Upgrade Co., Ltd. For sure, it’s Joomla! 1.5, with all my best knowledge in Joomla! This meedee.net is a news website from Meedee Upgrade’s Magazines. With proper configuration, now there are about 2,000 visitors per day without any promotion. Most of visitors are merely from google search.

S.K.Y. Engineering – Inspired Inventive Innovation
As I’m working for this company, then that must be my task to make a company website. The 1st version is pure php coding from the beginning on dreamweaver template. This is really pain in the ass! Now I cannot work without CMS or framework! there are so many bugs, very poor features, and very difficult to change something. But now I implemented with Joomla! 1.5, then main feature of this website is company profile + product information.

CUBAND.NET – Chula Big Band Network
When I was study, I was a CU Band member. As a drummer, there are so many practice and jobs to do, then I do not have so much time left during in the band. There was some people took care for this website stuff. Just middle of year 2009, cuband.net was almost abandoned, there are so many spam in the webboard, rarely update news. This year I have more time to concentrate on web development and I believe I can make it fast and good standard. This is a good community website for all student members and alumni.

I and Boat open this company in June 2009. Boat re-designed the website from JA Ruby Template by JoomlArt. OMG! he changed the design quite a lot. As I’m a operation manager, then I’m in charge for implementing this website. For now, the website itself will be a company profile, but there will be much more features in the future.

I have using Joomla! Opensource CMS for my own benefit for a while, even most of the jobs were not generate my income yet, But I think at least I should return my benefit back to opensource community. In Barcamp BKK in yesr 2009, I have met many web developers, companies, and good motivated people, including Marvelic Team. P’ Bung is the leader of Joomla Laithai Project and Marvelic Company. In the 1st JUG Meeting, the joomla.or.th project was established for gathering Joomla! people in Thailand to be a solid community.
